Grilled Cheese

Serves 4 | Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total time: 30 minutes


Ingredients

8 slices good quality bread

Mayonnaise

12 slices cheddar cheese (or your favorite)


Method

  1. Place wide skillet over medium heat.

  2. Spread mayonnaise on side of each slice of bread. When pan is warm, arrange 4 slices in one layer on the bottom of the pan, mayonnaise side down. Place 3 slices of cheese on each slice. Cover each with the other slice of bread, mayonnaise side up. Cover pan.

  3. After 5 minutes, check the bottom of each sandwich. When they are golden brown, flip, and cook remaining side uncovered until golden brown.

  4. Cut in half, or in quarters to make a kite for your littles.


Variations:

  • Add lettuce and/or tomato when you assemble the sandwich.

  • Add slices of bacon.
