Steamed Broccoli with Vinaigrette

1 pound broccoli
Vinaigrette Dressing
Method
Wash broccoli. Cut the stalk from the top and remove tough stalk end. Peel stalk and chop into 1/2-inch sections. Separate florets into cut into pieces about the same size, so they will cook in the same time. Mince garlic.
In a large pot bring 1 inch of water to boil.
Place broccoli into the steamer basket and place over the boiling water. Cover. Steam to your preferred tenderness, testing with a fork–about 5-6 minutes for tender-crisp, 8 minutes or longer if you prefer soft vegetables.
Place broccoli in a serving bowl and drizzle with vinaigrette dressing. Toss to distribute evenly. Serve warm.
